Caroline’s piece is ink on 12 inch by 18 inch art paper. In a nod to tattoo flash, "Happy" is a grouping of detailed illustrations that give you a glimpse into Caldwell's world. How these drawings relate to one another is up to the viewer to decipher, and attempting to do so becomes a choose your own adventure experience.

Caroline's artwork ranges from layered and subtle, to very blunt meditations on home, self-worth, the absurd, and rebellion. Sometimes she'll spend weeks on one drawing, working through ideas that are decades deep. Her series of structurally unstable homes are how she processes the trauma of growing up in an unstable and sometimes dangerous household. Other times, the best thing she produces in a month is a quick doodle in response to yesterday’s catcalls. In either case, her artworks are diary entries.

Much of Caroline's artistic upbringing and education has come through artist assistant roles she's held. She has helped some of her creative role models craft their works, ranging from small canvases, to massive museum installations. Through these opportunities, she got a professional education in both technical skills and how to operate as part of a team to make a creative vision come to fruition.
