NoBigWordsHere is a suggestion as to how the viewer should digest the work. The viewer is asked not associate labels to it or even try to understand the creative interaction between the unpainted surface and the artist, but rather to let go and enjoy the ride. For his first solo exhibition, a Lower East Side native, BlusterOne, has committed to building this body of work without a premeditated regimented process, without a sketch or even a plan. Every piece begins as a leap of faith, from the free flowing orange background color washes to the crisp black gesso lines. An orgy landscape of unrecognizable human and letter forms. He adopts the vibrant black and orange color pallet as a personal homage to Keith Haring’s “Crack Is Wack” murals.
