212 Arts is pleased to present Jenna Krypell’s first solo exhibition On the Grid. The exhibit explores her journey becoming a well known figure in the New York Street art community through sculptures and paintings. Krypell’s art embodies her unique style inspired by Frank Stella and Art Deco designs. This exhibition gives way to the artists’ interpretation of human movement by breaking the energy and tone of the piece into abstract shapes that emphasise the notion of being displaced when a person is viewed from an outsider’s eye. The reconstruction of the human condition through her work gives a beautiful look into the artist’s mind.

Krypell’s abstract style and emphasis on color and  movement through linework seeks to allow each pieces’ audience a unique reconstruction of context in which each work is presented in. “In constructing these abstract forms, she evaluates life’s challenges and restrictions, therefore exploring the balance between choice and limitations. She impose clear restrictions on herself in the preliminary stages of her production using a grid, and synthesize her designs with materials such as MDF, hand dyed resins and paint.” Her work boldy displays the inevitability of change and how nothing is static.

Her work has been displayed in multiple prestigious events and spaces such as Art Basel Miami 2017, Lululemon, Universal Music Group Grammys Party, Centre-fuge Public Art Project, Cycle 22, The World Trade Center, and other private events.
