New York New York is a group exhibition exploring the ephemeral qualities of how living in New York directly and indirectly informs how we perceive ourselves and our surroundings. The works will include photography and paintings as well as less traditional mediums. I hope that the viewers will be able to get a sense of each artists relationship to the city as seen through their visual vocabulary, but perhaps most importantly, will leave the exhibit with the introspective notion that although New York can be crowded, loud, and abrasive it inspires who we are and presents the most fertile environment in the world for distinctive creativity.
