Descended from a line of acclaimed artists, Dave "Persue" Ross continues family tradition and is recognized by his peers as a true artistic pioneer. With an energetic, illustrative style, his technical ability and poise as a young artist in the 1980's quickly earned him the respect of his contemporaries throughout the world. Persue shifted his focus from commercial work to his own projects, and relocated to New York City in 2014. His background as a graphic artist, designer, and muralist has afforded him a natural transition into the fine art sphere as his aesthetic continues to evolve.

At the tender age of 7, CAN2 had a driving need to artistically improve his desk at school as well as his school books with his own illustrations.
In 1983, his first fledgling attempts at spraying took place in his hometown of Mainz. His inspiration from the very start originated in the Mecca of Graffiti, the Bronx. CAN2 represents the Bronx style of the early 80s in his view the only true graffiti style from the start. CAN2 sprays letters that have a dynamic impact. His distinctive characters have a diorama effect and are markedly alive. The difference between his characters and those of other sprayers are to be found in the shading and of course in his distinctive style.
